Understanding personal strengths is very vital in coping with different situations in life. I have been able to utilize these strengths in dealing with different situations that would otherwise be difficult to handle. Daily life involves interaction with people who have different worldviews, perceptions and personalities. As such, I need an open mind to ensure no conflicts arise.
While considering other people, it is equally important to ensure that I am able to grow both socially, economically as well as career-wise. One of the ways I have been ensuring this is by living a healthy life. By being conscious of the meals I take and watching my diet has enabled my health to be fit at all times and ensuring psychological development. According to () healthy body has a great impact on the psychological state of an individual. I have also been avoiding the use of alcohol as well as use of other drugs that may have both physical and mental problems.
Accountability and responsibility are part of my main personal strengths. These personal strengths have helped me realize my personality and develop my identity. Being responsible ensures that I am accountable for my actions as well as accountable to other people. At home, I am accountable to my family. I make sure I handle tasks and duties that I am obliged to do. In addition, I am also accountable to the community at large where I participate in community service, among other humanitarian activities.
In order to avoid behaviors and friends who do not add value in my life, I have worked on my control. This I have achieved by only establishing healthy relationships and by setting personal principles and values that guide my behavior. I have also learnt the art of turning down offers from friends who have intentions that go against my principles. This has helped me develop a high self-esteem as I have understood my worth and therefore cannot compromise them it in order to please other people.
